Auckland Zoo Trip

Yesterday room 1 and 2 went to Auckland Zoo for a school trip because lately out inquiry has been about Endangered Animals.

The first thing that we did we we got to the zoo was eat our morning tea because we were pretty hungry by then. After all our morning tea was all gobbled up we headed off for an explore around the Zoo. There were so many animals, we saw Red Panda, Otters, Tigers, Lions, Elephants, lots of different Monkeys,  Giraffe, Cheetahs and loads more animals. We lucked in by seeing the Red Panda and the Otter get fed. My favorite out of that was the Cheetah even though he was hiding behind a plant.

After all that wandering around we all got together and had a lunch break.
Once our lunch had filled our belly again and or energy was back all of us split in to 2 and went away with some Zoo Keepers to learn about some animals.
Firstly I went of to learn about the Orangutan and Palm oil. The main thing that I learned in that lesson was that 60% of the worlds palm oil comes from Malaysia and Indonesia.

The Next lesson was with tracking tunnels. The main thing that I learned there was that a porcupine is a pest.

After that we had 10 minutes to go around the Zoo and look at more animals before the bus came. This time we looked at the Crocodile, Tarantula and more Monkeys. My favorite animal that we saw here was the Spider Monkey, we even saw them get fed.

Overall this was a great trip and thank you for our Teachers and the Zoo Keepers for letting this happen.
Cheers:

Inquiry

Lately we have been learning about endangered animals. We had a few tasks to complete and know one has finished.

Task 1:
The First task was to buddy up, we were given a content and we had to find an animal that lives in that content and make a presentation about it. Here is mine:
